Ledingham Chalmers experts to present at RICS regional conference in Aberdeen

The full-service firm’s chairman and partner, Jennifer Young, will provide a legal update to Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) members during a continuous professional development (CPD) day at the city’s Hilton Treetops next week.

Accredited construction law specialist Mrs Young will review recent hot topics including the precedents around “smash and grab” adjudication and the impact of recent third party rights legislation, alongside updates to SBCC and NEC4 construction contracts.

Inverness-based partner and Law Society of Scotland-accredited employment law specialist, Kirk Tudhope, will focus on the implications of GDPR, the new Europe-wide data protection legislation, as well as anti-money laundering regulations.

Other topics on the agenda for next Wednesday include a regional economic update; commercial property management; and the role of technology in surveying.
