Lawyers and legal expertise recognised — Chambers UK 2022

A matter of weeks after the Legal 500 research was published, the Chambers UK 2022 rankings have been announced.

And it’s another good show for our firm.

Ten people across five disciplines have been recognised.

Chambers and Partners is an independent research company operating across 200 jurisdictions providing rankings and insight into the world's leading lawyers. The research for its Chambers UK 2022 findings took place between January 2021 and July 2021.

Combined with the Legal 500 findings, this means 19 people across six disciplines have been ranked across both directories.

Here’s the Chambers UK 2022 situation, at a glance —

  • Personal injury (Aberdeen and surrounds/Glasgow, Edinburgh and surrounds) — individual rankings for partners Graeme Edward, Sarah Morris (also recognised as an up-and-coming practitioner) and Victoria Leslie

  • Agriculture and rural affairs (Glasgow, Edinburgh and surrounds) — partners Linda Tinson and Jim Drysdale are ranked

  • Construction (Scotland) — I’ve been ranked along with partner Sarah Stuart

  • Employment (Scotland) — head of employment law, Kirk Tudhope, and senior associate Sine Mackay are ranked. Sine has also been named as an associate to watch

  • Our commercial property team was ranked within the real estate, lower mid-market (Scotland) category

While the rankings themselves are great news, particularly coupled with the Legal 500 research, it’s the testimonials from peers, independent market sources and clients that make all the difference and they are all very much appreciated.

Feedback like “the team delivers excellence at all times to clients,” and “….We instruct them with confidence,” sits well with our core value to satisfy and impress our clients and means a lot to colleagues, particularly after the last 18 months where we’ve had to adapt quickly because of the global pandemic.
