Michelle is a senior associate in our Family Law team and is a Law Society of Scotland accredited specialist in family law. She is also trained in the practice of collaborative family law and is also a notary public.
Michelle offers a measured, client focused approach to assisting in resolving what are often complex family matters. With over 15 years experience in family law, Michelle’s wide ranging experience allows her to provide clear, compassionate and effective guidance, tailored to each client’s individual circumstances.
Acting for a broad range of clients, she advises clients in relation to matrimonial matters including separation and financial provision on divorce, and various child related matters. Michelle also advises on prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements, on potential claims on death of a cohabitant, as well as other aspects of family and child law.
She has experience of appearing in the Sheriff Court in a range of family law matters and has instructed Counsel in divorce actions raised in both the Sheriff Court and Court of Session.
As a member of the Family Law Association Scotland and Consensus Collaboration Scotland, Michelle is committed to advocating for the constructive and pragmatic dispute resolution for her clients.
