Our coronavirus (COVID-19) response

Given the developing coronavirus situation, we’re putting practical measures in place to respond in a proactive, proportionate way.

These measures put people’s health and wellbeing first, while also ensuring business continuity for our clients.

We’re following the latest developments and government advice, and giving our teams regular updates, support and guidance.

Meanwhile, I wanted to share with you how we’ll continue to support you in this fast-changing situation in the coming weeks.

Our business continuity plan guides how we respond. And, like many other businesses, we have the technology in place that means many of our colleagues have been agile working effectively for some time now.

We anticipate our teams will increasingly work and communicate with you remotely, while continuing to offer the same high level of support and service you expect.

In particular —

  • The vast majority of our staff have access to necessary software and systems to work remotely

  • In the event of an office closure, you will still be able to contact your Ledingham Chalmers partner using your usual contact details

  • As a full service firm with a Scotland-wide office network, we’re used to working effectively across teams regardless of location. Plus, we have processes and procedures in place to handle tasks like post, printing and scanning using our network of offices, should one or more of our sites have to close temporarily

  • We do have telephone and video conferencing facilities available, so can use these as alternatives to a face-to-face meeting

There’s no doubt we’re operating in unprecedented times, and the impact of the outbreak will vary across different business types and sectors, but rest assured our firm’s here to provide the legal support you require.

We appreciate your understanding, and thank you for bearing with us. Please let us know if you have any questions by emailing your usual contact, or email me.
