Ledingham Chalmers holds Inverness Christmas employment law cafe

The practical issues posed by recent employment law developments come under the spotlight later this month at the full service law firm’s free event.

The session, held at Ledingham Chalmers’ Inverness offices on 20 December, will cover a broad range of issues from surveillance (should Santa know if we’ve been bad or good); disciplinary procedures (aka, the naughty list); minimum wage; and discrimination and free speech.

Head of the firm’s employment law team, Kirk Tudhope, said: “The event is all about giving anyone whose role includes HR invaluable advice on how to deal fairly and robustly with the typical challenges that crop up in the workplace.

“We’ll also cover the removal of tribunal fees and how employers can protect themselves despite the rising number of claims; ask why disability discrimination may be even more of a challenge; as well as an update on holiday pay.”
