Jopp Thomson Fund 2026 - grants to support local people in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire

The Jopp Thomson Trust was established to prevent and relieve poverty, providing assistance to individuals in need due to age, ill health, or disability, specifically those residing in Aberdeen or Aberdeenshire.

The Jopp Thomson Fund is administered by Ledingham Chalmers and aims to support individuals in financial need, due to age, ill health, or disability, particularly those with strong connections to Aberdeen or Aberdeenshire.

To be eligible for a grant, applicants must demonstrate financial hardship. Preference will be given to women whose maiden surname is Thomson or Middleton.

Grant amounts vary each year depending on available funds. Over the past two years, approximately a total of £50,000 has been distributed, supporting an average of 30 individuals per year, typically paid in two instalments.
