Billing administrator - Aberdeen

We're looking for a billing administrator to join our finance team in Aberdeen

At the heart of every successful law firm is a high-performing business support team, and our Billing function plays a vital role in keeping the firm running smoothly and efficiently.

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Billing administrator to join our team, where you will be a key contributor to the firm’s financial operations and client service delivery.

Duties

  • Managing billing processes, including preparing and issuing fee invoices, investigating billing queries and disbursements

  • Supporting matter administration, including matter closures, WIP and cost write-offs and reviewing historical balances

  • Providing billing support and training across departments

  • Assisting with client ledger and invoice administration

In this role you’ll receive day-to-day support within a collaborative and supportive team.

Skills

With this type of role, it’ll come as no surprise we’re looking for someone with experience across accounts payable, purchase & sales ledger, billing and general accounting duties.

Other skills include:

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Good numeric skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively and influence at all levels within the firm

  • Good organisational skills

  • IT literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft software (eg Excel and Word)

  • Ability to effectively prioritise a busy workload and ensure all deadlines are met
