Highland businesses have the chance to gain valuable insights on dealing with common workplace challenges at two free employment law events this month.
Ledingham Chalmers is hosting an employment law update for Lochaber Chamber of Commerce members in Fort William on 19 May.
This session includes a presentation and discussion with topics including the gig economy, dealing with misconduct, disability discrimination, and Brexit.
And in Inverness on 23 May, in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the firm is holding a workshop event focusing on dealing with the challenges related to disability in the workplace.
Issues covered will include how to approach suggestions that ill health may have led to misconduct or poor performance; what changes can be made to terms and conditions if a disabled employee needs to take up a less demanding role; and whether it matters if the employer was unaware of the disability.
