Ledingham Chalmers free contract employment law cafés — postponed

In light of the evolving COVID-19 situation, we have postponed these events.

Significant changes will come into force this April that affect how, and when, businesses issue terms and conditions of employment.

As such, the full-service law firm had scheduled two sessions at its offices in Aberdeen and Inverness on 1 and 9 April, respectively.

Topics up for discussion included a review of new rules for issuing terms and conditions, as well as the penalties for getting it wrong; the perils of contractual disciplinary and grievance procedures; holiday entitlement; deductions from wages; changing contractual terms; and ensuring smooth exits including notice periods and post-employment restrictions.

Please watch this space for update on rearranged dates.
